ˀ (glottal stop, slow marker)

The ˀ [ʔ] sound is as important as any other consonant. For example, it can make the difference between a statement and a command.

Words beginning with A, E, Ę, I, O, Ǫ, or U actually begin with a glottal stop sound, but it isn’t spelled. For example, onǫ́ˀa:ˀ sounds like [ʔonǫ́ʔa:ʔ].
